I need to update you on the Covid-19 Vaccinations here due to changes since our last news on same below.
For those who are aged 70 & over, all Dose 1’s have been completed with Dose 2 due again this week & in 2 weeks time. It is expected then that our Covid-19 Vaccination for this group here will be completed.
Due to unavoidable circumstances since earlier this month, it is now not possible for us to continue with vaccinations here after we have completed the Vaccination Clinics for those aged 70 & over. For those patients who come in under the next cohorts of Group 4 (aged 16-69 & at very high risk if they got Covid-19) & Group 7 (aged 16 – 64 at high risk- this is largely the group of people for whom the annual flu vaccine is advised) you will now be receiving the Covid-19 Vaccination in the Co. Wexford Covid-19 Vaccination Centre.
Some of you in the above Groups 4&7 will have already been contacted through the local hospital services for same. As requested by the HSE*, we have forwarded on our list of patients for Groups 4 & 7 to the county Vaccination Centre.
Registration on the basis of age is also underway and can be done at https://vaccine.hse.ie/ once your age-group comes up.
Information concerning Covid-19 Vaccination is available at https://www2.hse.ie/covid-19-vaccine/ including the specific vaccines:
- Pfizer https://www2.hse.ie/screening-and-vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/pfizer-biontech/overview.html

- Moderna https://www2.hse.ie/screening-and-vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/moderna/overview.html
So, #KeepGoing. We are now over a year into this Pandemic here in Ireland and hopefully after the last Wave 3, we have the worst behind us – if we all keep doing our 2 metres/ handwashing/ face masks etc.
