Further Update received 16 November evening:
GP’s who have already referred Over 70’s for vaccination at HSE MVC
Those patients are now being allocated across the MVC network and appointments will commencing issuing next week. The GP has no role in rescheduling appointments.
Covid-19 Booster/ 3rd Dose
We have now completed this Booster here for all those aged 80 & over. If you are one of the small number of people who could not get it due to eg illness at the time & still wish to get it, please let us know so that we can link you in with the HSE re same.
For all aged 70-80, the booster will be available through the HSE- likely to be in the Enniscorthy Community Vaccination Clinic. The HSE has linked in with this & other General Practices that are not in a position to continue with the Covid Booster vaccination programme, so as to arrange ongoing Booster Vaccination Programme for all between 70 & 80.
If you are aged 60-69, the HSE will be arranging a vaccination centre appointment for you.
If you have a weak immune system caused by specific conditions/ treatments, please see further information on getting a booster dose here: https://www2.hse.ie/screening-and-vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/get-the-vaccine/weak-immune-system/ . Many in this group may have already had their 3rd Dose arranged by their hospital Clinic/Team. If you have not been contacted, please contact us if you have any query. Note that, at present, these situations of particularly weaker immune systems do not include a number of less severe conditions such as asthma, Diabetes. We may await further guidance from the HSE re same.
